Weak Hess offering this year

I get the Hess "truck" each year for my sons, and setting aside the fact that there is no truck this year, these seem pretty weak feature-wise compared to the past few years. I had one out of the box and put the batteries in. It lights up well, like all the Hess vehicles, and makes a few noises, but somehow misses out on the cool factor of the last two years.

Great gift but...

This is a great gift but buy it from the Hess locations for the price set by Hess which is $24.95. I am amazed that Amazon allows this type of price gouging. The cars just went on sale on October 13th so they should still have plenty at the original price.

Nice truck

The Hess trucks seem to well built, but in all honesty we haven't opened this one yet since it's a Christmas gift, but my boys have played a lot with one that belongs to a friend and they love it.
